“And the angel said unto them, Fear
not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all
people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is
Christ the Lord.”—Luke 2:10-11 (KJV)

Merry Christmas!
Goodness,
light, and joy—for everyone. That’s what I’m talking about. Isn’t that one of the most important
messages of the season? Let’s look at the two groups of people who first learned
of the divine birth:
Shepherds
Poor
laborers, dirty, local men
Wise Men (How many were there?)
Rulers from
the rich East—most likely an Arab or North African country. Brought three very
expensive gifts native to that area.
The Significance of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh
(taken from Theimaginativeconservative.com
)
All three of
these elements had great spiritual and physical meaning. Gold has been a symbol
of wealth since ancient times. Frankincense and myrrh both emit fragrant aromas.
They have been used in religious rituals since biblical times. Today we find
the precious minerals in cosmetics, perfume…oh, and incense.
Jesus’ birth
is important for every person. The blessed event brings hope to:
- Celebrities
- Homeless individuals
- Politicians
- Day laborers
- Victims
There’s a
song that illustrates this truth: “Do You Hear What I Hear?” In this video, the
a cappella group, Pentatonix, joins their talents with the late, great Whitney
Houston. Bear in mind there are no instruments. You would never guess it; the
beatboxer is so skilled.
Do you
believe He’s your savior, too?
Betty nice blog, Traci! And Yes! Yes I believe that Christ The King is My Savior!
