Piano Music for the Season
It’s hard to
believe we celebrate the birth of Jesus in just a few days. Where has the year gone? So much has happened—in the world and in my life. Some of the events have given me
happiness; others have filled me with a deep anxiety. Yet, the holiday season always
puts everything in perspective. Jesus is the reason for the season, as the well-known
saying goes.
Focusing on
our Savior can help us to feel joy despite adverse circumstances. We will be able to see beyond the temporary setbacks of worldwide chaos; prevalent
anger and disrespect; and, personal problems.
I find that
Christmas music, especially, can set the tone for more joyful, Christ-centered
living. It’s a way to get in touch with that divine spark within when the world
gets confusing and frustrating. I hope you enjoy my humble rendition of a Silent
Night/O Holy Night medley:
