I am the
same as most people because my life is rarely perfect in any way. Literally, nothing
in my life has happened according to my schedule. There is rarely a lack of
excuses to feel negative.
On the other
hand, I have been led to new opportunities and friendships. These life-changing
events and relationships would never have come about if I had stayed on what I
believed was the best course for my life. That’s why I just felt that I needed
to take time out of my complicated life and focus on gratitude
My last
article was about how God helps us through other people here.
Today, I will list only a few of the wonderful groups and individuals who have
touched me during my blogging/writing journey. However, this article is not
merely about me.
As you read, please keep in mind the
ways you’ve been boosted in your own
life. Whatever we
may be going through, we can usually pick out people and circumstances that
keep us from staying in the pit:
Prayer and Fellowship Community
This kind
group of fellow thinkers has been the main supporters of my blog. They regularly
read it and make uplifting comments on my work.
Eeva Lancaster
My online
friend set up my website and re-formatted the interior and cover files of my
first book here. Please see her website
for all things related to self-publishing, The Book Khaleesi.
Eeva also
regularly promotes my work and answers my questions about social media.
Doris-Marie Heilmann
This unbelievably
self-sacrificing lady was my first mentor in anything related to interacting
and publishing online. Please see her main blog with writing tips, savvybookwriters.com .
Please sign up for her unbeatable mentoring service for indie authors here. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
Before I met
this amazing friend, I didn’t know what a blog was. I didn’t have much of a
social-media presence, either. I got online only for the purposes of e-mail.
That’s only
the beginning…Because this sweet friend knew my background and skill in
English, she challenged me to become an editor.
She accepts nothing than the best from herself and others. This
hard-working lady is always reaching for the stars.
Carol Graham
This woman
in a million is a supporter of my blog. Her whole life is a study in faith and
hope, so I always look forward to her comments.
Support is
crucial, but it doesn’t beat saving a person’s life. In truth, if unfavorable employment
circumstances hadn’t given me the opportunity to connect with this lady, I
wouldn’t have been led to life-saving Shaklee food supplements.
Professor Rosanne Higgins
This successful
indie author has her fingers in many different pies. Rosanne is a top supporter
of mine, personally and professionally. She has devoted hours to lending a listening
ear and giving advice. Thanks to Rosanne, I have more confidence to move
forward through difficulties.
Wayne Blankenbiller
I cannot
count the hours this man has devoted to reading and commenting on my posts. He
is always full of encouragement and praise. This is a testimony to the fact
that we can all change. Why? By his own account, he used to be more impatient
and self-centered. Wayne has taught me that time can bring improvement and
wisdom.
My Conclusion
Few of us live
life continually live life in the clear, fluffy clouds. Storm clouds are out
there, often when we least expect them. Yet, we don’t have to go through these
tempests alone. We may find assistance when
and where we least expect it.
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above
yourselves.”—Romans 12:10 (NIV)
