Trust in Self and God

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”-- 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV) (italics added)

Today’s article is meant to show us we don’t have to accept the constant anger, fear, and judgment propagated by so many sources—even loved ones. If a person keeps getting beaten down, and believes she’s absolutely no good as she is, how can the individual believe there’s a possibility of improvement? Not happening.

Crimes and sins don’t get a pass. Conclusions made with incomplete, or incorrect, information should be reconsidered, though. Every person isn’t going to agree with our worldview. The nitpicky criticisms thrown at prominent figures regarding their appearance takes it up to another level.

Does constant correction make anyone believe in, or hope for, change? No.  Just ask educational experts.

It’s time for all of us to tune out the negativity. No matter how many roadblocks life throws our way, we have to look beyond them. We need to have faith there’s something to hope for: belief in our own capabilities, faith in God, etc. Determination is always necessary, too. The authors of the quotes I’m going to share have one thing in common: they fought unbelievable odds for decades.
  • Ben Carson--is a neurosurgeon and a Black conservative.
  • Helen Keller—the name says it all.
  • Bruce Lee-- had to fight racism to begin with, AND he married a white lady.
  • Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer-- have been battling detractors for decades. For instance, it wasn’t easy to become a female preacher almost 40 years ago.
