“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where
is thy victory?”-- 1 Corinthians 15:55 (KJV)
Why do we celebrate
Easter? A hundred different people might give a variety of answers. There’s not
just one reason to honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Here are two main ideas:
Evil doesn’t triumph in the end.
God
represents light. Good wins the war. Jesus conquered the darkness (the grave)
for us.
This theme is
emphasized in the new song, “Risen”, by Shawna Edwards. Please click here to
listen:
God’s love knows no bounds.
God cherished
us enough to send his son as a sacrifice. The subject of God’s amazing love is written
about at fathersloveletter.com.
My Conclusion
This holiday
is an important reminder God cares for each of us more than we can imagine. He
sent His son as atonement for our sins. That’s the key to stopping the spread
of darkness.
Do you feel the spiritual brightness
of the season?
This was beautiful - thank you for sharing Resurrection Day.
