How God Boosts our Capabilities

While humans aren’t always capable of giving us the support and guidance we need, God is. He is always willing and able to help us (but maybe not in the way we want--or expect). My online friend, Little John, often posts about God’s power and love. Please see the previous two articles in which I quoted him here and here

Why is God able to help us? Here are his main characteristics, in Little John’s own words:  (Note: I have added headings and a scripture for the sake of clarity.)

Stability
God dwells in the eternal, perfect moment and there's nothing we can do or say, that will upset Him or ruin His day.
Patience
He has absolute patience, for eternity is more than can be imagined and only exists in the supernatural presence of the LIVING Great Omniscient Deity of
Absolute Love.
Love

He IS love and He IS eternity. He has caused me to remember my eternal life in His realm of absolute love and virtue (heaven).
Realize you Can’t fix Your Problems.

When we react to circumstances, usually from the fear for our survival or because we'll possibly endure discomfort or loss, more often than not, what we end up doing, is usually just a band-aid and doesn't really improve anything in the long term. A bit like "jumping out of the frying pan, into the fire".

Let go and let God.

“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:25 (NIV)

I have endured much tribulation and God told me a while ago, that if I want to walk in His presence 24/7 and dwell in His realm, I must be ready to totally let go, that my world had to crumble and fall, and come to an end. So in all that I have gone through, I have held on to that and my faith has truly been exercised and stretched to the limits.

Embrace your new, powerful life.

It is like a birth, into a whole new reality, a breaking through into another life and He has truly blessed me with the experience of His absolute, supernatural presence, in absolute power and glory, beyond the shadow of any doubt. I am not
wise at all, merely a fool for Christ. All that I am and all that I know, is what He has given me and made of me and the wisdom that comes through me, is not mine.

Me

I am nervous about change of any kind. Right now, I am going through numerous difficulties. Some of them will alter my life forever, whether I like it or not. I am already being painfully forced out of my comfort zone in plenty of areas, and I will never be able to return to that place. I am not the same person I was even two months ago. My desires and needs have transformed.

Conclusion

Only a patient, stable, loving God can lead us to our ultimate life. This new lifestyle will eventually be greater than any we can build for ourselves. To achieve it, we will probably have to go through many growing pains. That’s why we have to let go of our fears and insecurities and allow God to lead us to the goal; we can’t win the race under our own power.
